Climate Café: featuring a talk by Robyn Shaw from the South East Rivers Trust
We were delighted to welcome so many at our first Green Elmbridge Climate Cafe on Wednesday 8th Feb. There were 47 of us which is a very encouraging turnout on a cold week day evening.
It was very lovely to meet Robyn from South East Rivers Trust (SERT) and hear about the challenges that rivers face (in particular the River Mole), the varied ways to bring them back to life, and how to preserve our precious fresh water supplies.
After the talk, it was great to meet and chat (refreshments provided by the Co-op) in the beautiful Esher Quaker Meeting House (built in 1797 and with original features).
