Collaborative Discussion with Community Groups on Local Carbon Emission Reduction Projects

On the 21st March, Nick Davis, the Green Elmbridge chair, attended an on-line collaborative discussion with other community groups on carbon insetting hosted by Surrey County Council in collaboration with Anthesis.

Surrey County Council is piloting an innovative initiative called carbon insetting, which aims to leverage Corporate Social Responsibility and ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) initiatives to foster community-centric carbon emission reduction projects that not only aid in the county's decarbonisation but also generates tangible carbon benefits for the businesses, charities and community groups involved.

The aim is to have a Green Finance Marketplace that is a one stop shop for funders and those looking for funding.
