Nature and Climate Festival 2023

The Thames Ditton and Weston Green Residents’ Association are running their second Nature and Climate Festival 8-10 September.

Check out their website for full details https://residents-association.com/natureclimate

Venues include the Vera Fletcher Hall where events include a drop in during the day on Saturday 9th September to hear inspirational climate campaigners giving free talks and book signings, including cyclist Kate Rawles (author of The Life Cycle); waste campaigner Oli Franklin (author of Wasteland: The Dirty Truth About What We Throw Away, Where it Goes and Why it Matters) and Dr David Greenfield, founder of Tech Take Back.  At 4.00pm we will be hosting ‘My Planet; My Future’, a free round-table debate aimed at young people, with a panel aged under 35 from a range of earth friendly disciplines here to answer all your questions on eco action. (Over 35s welcome, but be prepared to listen and learn!). Our day will close with a free concert performance of ‘I Am the Earth’ from the children’s choir We Are The Voice, starting at 7.00pm.
